Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State on Monday urged the pioneer management of the newly established Federal Polytechnic, Daura, to ensure that students of the institution receive quality education.
He spoke when he received the new management, led by the Senator representing the Katsina North Senatorial District, Alhaji Ahmed Babba-Kaita; and the Rector, Dr Aliyu Mamman, at the Government House, Katsina.
The governor told the management team that they had a critical role to play in ensuring that qualitative education was given to students.
He said, “TETFUND will be contacted to do the needful for the institution to take off with ease.
“Also, work with stakeholders in Daura to ensure the successful take off of the institution.”
The governor said his administration would continue to support the new management, maintaining that education remained a priority in the state.
Senator Babba-Kaita had earlier told Masari that the new management staff had been presented with letters of appointment by the Federal Ministry of Education.
The Rector, Mamman, expressed gratitude to the governor and Babba-Kaita for the establishment of the polytechnic and for the provision of temporary and permanent sites for the institution.
He assured them that stakeholders would be carried along in moving the institution forward.
