A secondary school student filed a lawsuit against her school because she received an “F” grade after being caught cheating, according to court documents filed in Washington.
Worldwideweirdnews reports that the Lindbergh High School student of Renton, wants the failing grade on her chemistry exam withdrawn despite being caught cheating.
She claims that she was wrongly accused of cheating and unfairly penalised. Besides the cheating incident, the student has a perfect school record.
The student is not seeking financial compensation, she has simply asked the County Judge to reverse the decision of the school board and restore her passing grade.
The teenager was accused of cheating after her professor found notes in her bag during the test. After careful review, the School Board affirmed the failing grade.
That decision led to the lawsuit, in which the student claims that there was no evidence that she actually cheated.
