Algeria crashed out of the 2015 AFCON in the quarter final stage but still maintain the top place in Africa, and 18th in the world.
New African champions Ivory Coast moved one place up to occupy the 2nd spot on the continent, and are now the 20th best team in the world. They are trailed by runners up Ghana who sit 25th globally.
Ghana are trailed by Tunisia, Cape Verde and Senegal.
On the global scene, Germany continue to lead, while Argentina, Belgium, Colombia and the Netherlands complete the top five.
Brazil, Portugal, France, Uruguay and Spain make up the world’s top ten for the February ranking.
