The government organization vested with the responsibility certifying teachers in the country- the  Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (Technical) has recently inducted more than five hundred new teachers. The newly inducted teachers graduated from the Federal College of Education Umunze in Anambra State.

According to Vanguardngr.com, the induction ceremony which was happening for the third time in the history of the college, took place at the college’s new auditorium. Some of the dignitaries present were the Anambra State Commissioner for Education, Prof Kate Omenugha and the Director, Professional Operations Department, TRCN, Abuja, who was representing the TRCN Registrar Prof Josiah Ajiboye.

Meanwhile, the Provost, Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze, Prof Josephat Ogbuagu, assured the inductees that teaching remains a noble profession that requires a high level of discipline and decorum, even as he charged them to be disciplined as teachers. It can only be hoped that these new breed of teachers heed the admonition and try as much as possible to impact the right knowledge to the students they will be teaching.
