HERE ARE SOME OF THE THINGS TEENAGERS REALLY HATE

So yesterday, I spent time writing/posting about a few of the things teenagers really love about life in general and school. Well today, I introduce you to a few of the things teens hate. If you are a teenager reading this, then you probably know what I am talking about. But just in case you don’t, you are welcome to read just as well. In any case, the post is specifically intended to none-teens – parents and teachers- to help enlighten them in order to ensure cordial relationship between them and the teens. Enjoy the reading.

TEENAGERS HATE TO BE DIFFERENT JUST AS MUCH AS THEY HATE TO CONFORM

Virtually every teenager doesn’t want to conform to the trend. As a matter of fact, they want to be different from everyone else. For them, being different is a sign of self-assertion; a step towards independence. But then being different comes with several challenges which are [often] just too much to handle. It can be quite depressing when a teenager is left without friends just because s/he is different from the other kids. Therefore, the dilemma caused by the desire for uniqueness and acceptance/conformity makes teens to hate everything about individuality and conformity. Little wonder teenage years are usually such rough patches!

TEENAGERS HATE BEING BORED AND DEPRESSED

Now here is another truth about teenagehood- in as much as it is an exciting time, it is often characterized by boredom and depression. Unfortunately, there are quite a number of factors that could cause teenagers stress- from dashed hopes, unfulfilled promises, school work and the need to be loved, teenagers get to grapple with a lot on a daily basis.

TEENAGERS HATE BEING VIRGINS

To most teenagers, virginity is like a heavy prize that must be paid. They hate it just as much as they love it. All that sexual energy that build up without hope of being let out can make for quite the frustration. And if you recall from earlier discussions, teenagers hate everything that cause them distress. Consequently, they hate to be virgins. And when it so happens that any of their friends finally begin to have sex and they don’t, the frustration can reach a new crescendo, causing the hatred to become even most pronounced.

TEENAGERS HATE THE FACT THAT THEY ARE NOT FULLY IN CONTROL OF THEIR LIVES

Most teenagers are under the control of their parents. This they hate more than anything. I mean…just like any normal human being, they do not wish to be under the control of anyone. But then it is inevitable for teenagers to remain under the control of their parents until they are quite grown and independent enough to make their own decisions.

What other things do you hate as a teenager? Do let’s hear it…
