Tips on Ways Teens can stick to their Study Plans

Yesterday, I wrote about the importance of setting realistic academic goals and organizing your 2017 study plans, with a promise to follow up those posts with another one offering tips on ways to stick judiciously to your study plan. Well here am I keeping real to my promise. The tips below are simple and straight to the point. And if strictly observed, it can help you a whole lot in their academic endeavours. Please take note of them one after the other.

FIRST OF ALL, BE METICULOUS

There is no gainsaying that the more detailed and well thought out your study plan is the more likely you are to stick to it. That said, you must ensure that your plan is prepared to be very workable and applicable to you. Let it focus on those subjects you are not very good at such that you will have more time to study Math for instance instead of Agricultural Science which you are already find less stressful.

 YOU MUST STAY ACTIVE

There has always been some sort of connection between exercise and all round alertness; including academic alertness. Exercise enlarges the brain’s basal ganglia, the part of the brain that helps you pay attention. And you can all agree with me that when it comes to studying, the ability to be attentive is the key to understanding what you are studying. This is therefore the reason why you must ensure to stay active so as to be alert, attentive and able to comprehend. This is will go a long way in helping you stick to your study plan, else you’d be bored and over it in no time.

CREATING A STUDY GROUP CAN BE HELPFUL

Study groups have always proven to be one of the most helpful ways students get to study effectively. It is more or less like teamwork, especially that part when everyone in the study group contributes to a discussion about a subject. Therefore, create a study group who will work with the same study plan as you. This will help you stick to said study plan.

FIND YOUR PERFECT STUDY ENVIRONMENT

Just in case you never knew, your study environment has a huge impact on your ability to stay focused and meet study goals. This is certainly an obvious fact, yet you’d be surprised at the number of students whose studies are seriously affected just because they study in the wrong environments. By wrong environments, I mean uncomfortable places where pollution of all kinds [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][especially noise pollution] abounds. You cannot comprehend anything in such environments. Therefore, you must ensure that your study environments are conducive for you.
