Points are cancelled based on the following; There are activities that may lead you to loosing point(s) such as inactive on the site, abusive usage of words on the forum, deletion of comments on the forum etc.
In each case it is shows your point history on how you gain and loose point.
The leaderboard calculate for everyone in the pool, your point balance at a particular time determine your position on the leaderboard.
